Air Quality Laboratory

The Air Quality Laboratory is a fully equipped lab with relevant equipment and samplers for monitoring ambient air quality including concentration levels of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxides, ammonia, and particulate matter of different aerodynamic diameter.

The laboratory has a delicate, advanced, German-based manufactured micro-balance that can measure the weight of a matter with a precision of 1 µg. A latest US-based manufactured size-segregated impactor is also installed in this lab that can collect particulate samples of aerodynamic diameters ranging from 56 nm to 20 µg. At present, the process of getting more equipment for this laboratory is in progress.
